The VII National Scientific and Methodological Conference with international participation "Architecture of University Education", held on April 25-26, 2024, organized byThe St. Petersburg State University of Economics, together with the Presidential Library, has completed its work.The main focus of the Conference was on the formation of strategic approaches to the systemic transformation of Russian universities as key centers of advanced training for the scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the country.
Traditionally, the event was opened by the heads of the organizing team, Igor Maksimtsev, Rector of St. Petersburg State University, and Yuri Nosov, General Director of the Presidential Library.
During the official opening,
Igor Maksimtsev, Rector of St. Petersburg State University, addressed the Conference participants.: "The future of the country depends on you and me, who we will train, how we will prepare, how we will interact with the government, with business, with graduates. The future of our beloved Russia depends on it."
In his welcoming speech to the participants of the event,
Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, emphasized: "Holding the conference has already become a good tradition. Together with the oldest economic university in Russia, St. Petersburg State University of Economics, we carry out many joint projects, including improving the higher education system."
The conference
was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science, and the Federal State Budgetary Institution National Accreditation Agency for Education.
"Together, we will be able to calmly and constructively discuss all the priorities that we face, and work out the steps that need to be taken to ensure that quality education is the security of our country,"
said Svetlana Kochetova, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science.Andrey Maksimov, Chairman of the Committee on Science and Higher Education of St. Petersburg, welcomed the Conference participants on behalf of
Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, and stressed: "We will wait for the recommendations of today's event, because thanks to your work we will see all the directions and vectors of development that we should move forward."
The Conference was attended by
more than 400 people from different regions of Russia and abroad:
Azerbaijan, Africa, China. For the first time,
all 8 federal districts of Russia were represented at the Conference. The
top participating regions were
Moscow and the Moscow Region, the Republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, the Novosibirsk and Tomsk Regions, and the Altai Territory.The increased interest in the content and experts of the conference ensured the
growth of business participants by a third, and the representation of the top management of institutions and organizations doubled.
The Conference events were focused on developing effective solutions necessary for the implementation of the new educational model. Russian universities should become not only centers of education, but also centers of active implementation of the latest technologies and teaching methods.
Many important discussions and events took place during the 7th Conference. Here are just some of the discussion topics that took place during the conference:
- Strategic changes in the higher education system: a new model, international strategic partnership with Southeast Asia, initiatives in interuniversity cooperation;
- Strategic tools in the implementation of Russia's educational policy in interdepartmental cooperation and the development of the national qualifications system;
- Science in the interests of technological development and the transformation of the academic community in the era of neural networks;
- Development of human capital through an ecosystem approach and new tools for civic and patriotic education, self-determination and career guidance for children and youth.
An eventful
two–day program, 17 educational and business events, an educational marathon, a youth block Final of the All-Russian Project Factory, an extensive
cultural program at the sites of the Petrovsky Aquatoria Museum and the XX Century State Literary Museum, as well as
unique exhibition projects "In the Footsteps of Great Travelers. Letters from childhood" and "The history of domestic insurance. Saint-Petersburg. Chapter 1", implemented by students of the 7th grade of GBOU Secondary School No. 365 named after Hero of the Soviet Union M. P. Krasnolutsky, 1st year students of the Service department and the Project Office of the Faculty of Service, Tourism and Hospitality of St. Petersburg State University.
